Welcome to Above Salon & Spa!

My name is Tammy, and I’m the proud owner of ABOVE. My team and I take great pride in being service providers in the beauty industry here in Bonnyville. Most of the staff have been with me since my very first venture, and I’m grateful to have them by my side as we continue to deliver top-quality services at ABOVE SALON & SPA.

I have been a professional in my trade for 25+ years, most of which I have spent as the owner of my own hair salon, which I acquired at the age of eighteen. I have been a part of many significant moments in my clients’ lives, forming friendships and connections that I cherish because of my profession.

As a stylist, I love using my knowledge and experience to bring my clients’ vision to life. There’s nothing more rewarding than helping someone see themselves in a new and confident way.

And yes, it’s no secret that platinum blonde babylights are my specialty!

When I’m not behind the chair or managing the operations of owning a business,  I’m spending time with my two incredible kids, Carson and Hayden, my amazing fiancé Chance, our two lovable Bernese Mountain Dogs, and my Bengal cat. Our home is always filled with laughter, lighthearted moments and a whole lot of love.

I truly believe that everything happens for a reason, and I am exactly where I am meant to be!

My passion is hair!

I truly enjoy being able to create the visions my clients bring to me. It’s rewarding to make everyone’s inner confidence shine brighter for that special occasion or everyday life.

I have two young children, who bring a new and beautiful outlook on life. They definitely keep me busy. I am grateful for my understanding clients for allowing me to balance work and home.

Hi, I’m Hayden!

I’ve successfully completed my first-period practical and written exams and am currently in Calgary completing my second-period hairstyling training at NIWE Academy as I continue working toward my Journeyperson certification.

My passion for hair has continued to grow, especially when it comes to colour. I love creating rich brunettes, espresso blends and dimensional colour, along with styling and creating beautiful finished looks.

In October 2026, I’ll also be completing my hair extension certification in Calgary, adding another service and skill to my growing career behind the chair.

Once I complete my training in Calgary, I’ll be deciding whether to return to Bonnyville or continue my journey in Calgary as I work toward completing my Journeyperson certification.

As a skilled hair colourist and extensionist, I specialize in creating stunning looks, from effortlessly lived-in, low-maintenance hues to bold fashion-forward vivids with artful, intentional placements. Whether you’re looking to add volume, fill in those lackluster areas, or completely transform your style, I’m here to provide the highest level of care and precision, so you leave feeling like the best version of yourself.

I’m dedicated to staying ahead of the curve, constantly learning new techniques and exploring the latest trends to bring you the freshest looks. You’ll often find me immersed in education, always refining my craft through books, workshops, and vlogs to ensure you receive the most up-to-date services.

Life can get hectic, and I understand how little time we often take for ourselves. Here, you’ll find a space where you can unwind and relax—whether it’s catching up over a hot cup of coffee or tea, enjoying some quiet time, or sharing stories about the wild adventures with my boys or my world travels. Your comfort is my priority, and my chair is always open. Let’s make every visit a beautiful experience.

 

I’m currently on maternity leave, taking this time to focus on my family and enjoy this special stage with my family.
